Abstract: Narrative Emotion, this research identifies the fallacies at the origin of the paradox of fiction and emotion. It facilitates a new understanding of the phenomenology of narrative emotion. It addresses the specificity of emotions stirred up in reaction to fiction to put under scrutiny the specific characteristics of narrative emotions with key concepts like emoting by proxy, pathivity, possible world, modal reality, imaginary real and being-in-the-virtual-world.
