Policy on Equal Opportunity: The EGS promotes equal rights in all its functions and activities as well as an understanding and appreciation of gender differences in regards to culture, language, and ideology. Academic Policy: To earn the Master of Arts / PhD degree a student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (grade of "B" or higher). Each students progress is reviewed every year, and a student ma be placed on academic probation or, in certain cases, not permitted to continue the program. In all cases, the program reserves the right to determine the conditions of a student's continued progress toward the degree.
Grievance Procedure: If a student has a complaint, the process is as follows: The first step is to speak with the faculty member. And the difficulty cannot be resolved, the student should contact the Program Director. If there is a need after this point, the Dean and the Provost can be involved.
