Lewis Baltz visual artist, philosopher and photographer discusses his photographic project in the North Pas-de-Calais where he examined how high technology would impact this run-down industrial area. Baltz describes what his calls the social epiphenomenon of the dilapidated sites he photographed, with reflections on the de-territorialisation of the locality through modernization.
