Speaking before a screening of his films, Zanussi describes the difficulty to find actors to play certain roles, especial those of communist state agents, in the aftermath of the communist period on Poland. Zanussi then speaks of scriptwriting and how he tries to create the situation that by the end of his film, the characters can go on with their lives.
