POLITICS OF AESTHETICS: The Relationship between Art and Politics (3 credits)
Jacques Rancière
Description: This course examines the relationship between politics and art, the distribution of the sensible. As we move towards a deeper connection with art and political movements we begin to understand sense in a new way. This course is aimed at inspiring students own creative approaches towards the groundbreaking work of Jacques Rancière. Through in-depth reading of the required texts listed below combined with intensive seminars in Saas Fee the course pushes thinking and learning to new extremes.
