Giorgio Agamben, ‘What is a Dispositif’
Giorgio Agamben is an Italian professor and philosopher. This article is from a lecture where he presented the text What is a Dispositive? Che cosè un dispositivo? at the European Graduate School in 2005. The text analyzes the proliferation of dispositives and desubjectification while discussing the history and origins of the term dispositive. This lecture contains examinations of linguistics, terminology, philosophy, theological genealogy, economy, religion, as well as Michel Foucault, Immanuel Kant, Baruch Spinoza, and Martin Heidegger.
